The process begins with a free home visit. Using laser tools, our project manager measures each wall, check for any structural issues, and take note of trims, corners, and window edges. This step helps us plan the installation properly and gives you a clear idea of the timeline and cost.
Once you approve the quote, we get to work. Our team removes the old siding one layer at a time, taking care not to damage the sheathing underneath. Depending on the material and condition, this step usually takes between two and seven days.
Next, we inspect the exposed sheathing for any signs of moisture or damage. If we find anything minor, we let you know right away and explain any extra costs. Most homes in Vancouver only need small touch-ups at this stage.
To protect your home from Vancouver’s heavy rain,
we install a rain screen system required by the BC Building Code. It includes breathable paper, flashing, and spacers that allow air to circulate, keeping moisture out and helping your siding last longer.
Now we install your chosen siding over 2-3 weeks. Every detail is handled with care: clean corners, neat window trims, vents, screens, and sealed joints using weatherproof caulking.
At the end of installation, we carry out a full inspection to ensure everything meets our quality standards. Once confirmed, the crew cleans up your property, removing and recycling all waste and leftover materials.
Once the work is complete, your Project Manager walks you through the finished siding, explains how to care for it, and gives you your warranty documents. You’ll have everything you need to keep it looking new for years to come.

I have been meaning to write this review for some time, but was waiting to receive final approvals from the City for our project. We have now received our completion certificate, our Heritage Revitalization Agreement has been completed, and our building permit has been closed thanks to Andrey and the diligent and hardworking crew at Scully Siding. After having been quoted over 50K to finish the exterior of our house on a project that had already doubled in cost, we were forced to dismiss the contractors we had hired to complete the job. We were fortunate enough to be able to find Scully Siding - in a few short days in March of this year, Andrey and his team were able to complete the work demanded by the Heritage Professional and the City - AND they replaced all of the cedar siding at the front of the house for less than 20% of what we had been quoted by our original contractors. We are exceptionally grateful. After the City Heritage specialist inspected the work, no deficiencies were noted, and the project was signed off after five years.
